One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Kip found a gap and took the lead. Drache Larockma followed before Amoros Cherry. When the startcar left the field Forcefield started to galop and lost 40 m.




This is the positions after 500m. What It Takes, Daria Larockma, Speedy Steven, Carlos Rock, Nil By Mouth, Kip, Forcefield, Amoros Cherry. La Maritza started to galop after 500 m and was nearly disqualified.




Forcefield looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Nil By Mouth couldn't come out from behind the leader, What It Takes.




Standings after 1500m . Lane one What It Takes followed by Daria Larockma and Drache Larockma. Lane two Nil By Mouth followed by Kip and Carlos Rock.



What It Takes kept a high tempo and was first in on the homestretch.






Kip won the race after a spectacular finish.
