One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Crossing Darkness sprinted away from the competitors and took the lead. Erik Berglöf wanted a little to much in the start and Wizard Pegasos galoped for 20 m. Max Crusher galloped for 60m and was disqualified.

Comet Clipper quickly put pressure on the leader and could take the lead after 500m.

Quick Printer looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Razzmatazz couldn't come out from behind the leader, Comet Clipper.

Standings after 1500m . Lane one Comet Clipper followed by Razzmatazz and Fetisov. Lane two Quick Printer followed by Wizard Pegasos and Starshine Tropic. Crossing Darkness galloped for 40 m. Something caused a disturbance in the field and Starshine Tropic gallopped for 10 m.

Quick Printer galloped way to long and was disqualified. With only a little left of the race Max Crusher galoped for 10 m. Wizard Pegasos litterally flew through the last bend and was first on the homestretch.

Starshine Tropic was disturbed and galopped for 10 m.

Wizard Pegasos kept the speed the whole finish and won before Razzmatazz and Comet Clipper.
