One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Shakespears Sister could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start. When the startcar left the field Mr Daffodil started to galop and lost 40 m.

Sneaky Body saw it's chance when the leader lost tempo and took the lead.

Flying Steel looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Mon Dieux Forni couldn't come out from behind the leader, Sneaky Body. Quasimodo galoped after 1000m and lost 30 m.

Sneaky Body was still in the lead after 1500m.

Sneaky Body kept a high tempo and was first in on the homestretch.

Sneaking Maid sprinted away from the rest of the field and won quite easy.
