It had been raining for several days at Dannero but the sun was shining this day a the track was in good shape. One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track. Windy Diary tried its best to keep the lead but finally had to give in to Lord Sparrow that came steaming ahead. Egy Lép quickly put pressure on the leader and could take the lead after 500m. Candida sprinted past the competitors and took over the lead. Windy Diary accelerated after 1500m and took the lead. Leprechaun showed unexperience when he was disqualified for galoping. Windy Diary was still in the lead after 2000m. Windy Diary looked like a million bucks when we commenced the homestretch. Lord Sparrow sprinted away from the rest of the field and won quite easy.
