The weather had been good all week and Lapua was in good shape.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Smiling Lovebreaker found a gap and took the lead. Flickering Star followed before Zoals Maandag.




This is the positions after 500m. Le Beau, Zoals Maandag, Hot Red Planet, Hector, Wandering Darkness, Flickering Star, Sucrée Que, Smiling Lovebreaker. Global Diamond showed unexperience when he was disqualified for galoping.




Zoals Maandag sprinted past the competitors and took over the lead.




Zoals Maandag was still in the lead after 1500m.



Zoals Maandag looked like a million bucks when we commenced the homestretch.

Hector was disturbed and galopped for 10 m. Tuomas Pakkanen tried a little too much on the homestretch and S.S Palema started to galopp and lost 40 m. Veli-Erkki Paavola tried a little too much on the homestretch and Dreaming Missile started to galopp and lost 10 m.




Zoals Maandag kept the speed the whole finish and won before Wandering Darkness and Smiling Lovebreaker.
