It had been raining for several days at Rättvik but the sun was shining this day a the track was in good shape. One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track. Many drivers had set there mind on a front position this day. Fastest of them all were Thunder Royal. Big Fighter ended up behind the leader. Special Artist got caught on the outside and were forced to take place as first in lane two. Unknown was to tense at the start and galloped for 50 m. Big Fighter saw it's chance when the leader lost tempo and took the lead. A bird flew just in front of Bridge who started to galop and lost 40 m. Big Fighter was in great shape so far and looked happy in the lead. Nothing seemed to be able to stop Big Fighter today. It continued in the lead. Big Fighter kept a high tempo and was first in on the homestretch. Thunder Royal galopped for 20 m on the homestretch. Special Artist sprinted away from the rest of the field and won quite easy.
