The sky was free of clouds and the sun was shining at Åby this day.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Old Comet took the lead after a very quick start.




Hastig Knappenål saw it's chance when the leader lost tempo and took the lead.




Believer sprinted past the competitors and took over the lead. Glader suddenly made a bad step, started to galop and lost 20 m.




Standings after 1500m . Lane one Believer followed by Front Boulder and Hollywood Princess. Lane two Hastig Knappenål followed by Old Comet and Jonas Bakaou.



Hastig Knappenål suddenly found some strength when the driver removed the earpads and sprinted to the lead.






Hastig Knappenål didn't even look tired on the homestretch and won the race.
