One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Wizard Pegasos was looking particularly good and could easily take the lead.




The leader couldn't hold the lead and Ridgehead Cahore sprinted to the front.




Sanctuary Ghost took the lead after 1000m. Ridgehead Cahore didn't have a good time being caught on the outside.




Standings after 1500m . Lane one Sanctuary Ghost followed by Quick Printer and Dropkick Baby. Lane two Ridgehead Cahore followed by Big Bloke and Wizard Pegasos.




Sanctuary Ghost was still in the lead after 2000m.



Sanctuary Ghost kept a high tempo and was first in on the homestretch.






Wizard Pegasos won the race after a spectacular finish.
