It had been raining for several days at Åby but the sun was shining this day a the track was in good shape.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Platinum Tank could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start. driver couldn't keep Faraway to trotting so they were disqualified. Pénz Nyomozó was to tense at the start and galloped for 50 m.




Giant Dream quickly put pressure on the leader and could take the lead after 500m.




The leader got disturbed by something and Moonlight Darkness took the lead rather easily.




Moonlight Darkness was still in the lead after 1500m.



With only a little left of the race Pénz Nyomozó galoped for 20 m. Giant Dream suddenly found some strength when the driver removed the earpads and sprinted to the lead.






Moonlight Darkness never caught up with Giant Dream who won. Twin Sabre came third.
