One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Joking Sphinx could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start.




The leader couldn't hold the lead and Speedy John sprinted to the front.




Speedy John was in great shape so far and looked happy in the lead.




Speedy John was still in the lead after 1500m.



Speedy John kept a high tempo and was first in on the homestretch.






Speedy John didn't even look tired on the homestretch and won the race.
