The sky was free of clouds and the sun was shining at Solvalla this day.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Maransin tried its best to keep the lead but finally had to give in to Flying Magpie that came steaming ahead.




Maransin saw it's chance when the leader lost tempo and took the lead.




Flying Magpie looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Green Grass couldn't come out from behind the leader, Maransin.




Maransin was still in the lead after 1500m.



Flying Magpie speeded up in the last bend and was first on the homestretch.






Flying Magpie kept the speed the whole finish and won before Maransin and Green Grass.
