The sun was shining on Åby today. A perfect day for trotting. One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track. Slow Band tried its best to keep the lead but finally had to give in to Sound Of Music that came steaming ahead. There were no mayor changes in the field at the 500m mark. Starshine Bouquet looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Slow Band couldn't come out from behind the leader, Sound Of Music. Standings after 1500m . Lane one Sound Of Music followed by Starshine Bouquet and Sad Paradigm. Lane two Slow Band followed by Wonderful Day and Little Red. Sound Of Music didn't even look tired after 2000m and sat safely in the lead. Sound Of Music looked like a million bucks when we commenced the homestretch. Slow Band won. Sound Of Music came in second. Starshine Bouquet caught third place. Results
