One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Aufeora was looking particularly good and could easily take the lead. When the startcar left the field Stretching Bouquet started to galop and lost 10 m.

There were no mayor changes in the field at the 500m mark.

Goofy Moonlight sprinted past it's competitors after a 1000m and took the lead.

Sydney Girl looked to be in good shape this day and took the lead after 1500m. Something caused a disturbance in the field and Trembling Box gallopped for 40 m.

Sydney Girl kept a high tempo and was first in on the homestretch.

Jan Hultman tried a little too much on the homestretch and Sydney Girl started to galopp and lost 50 m.

Jamaica Beach made a good sprint on the homestretch and crossed the finishline before Stretching Bouquet.
