The sun was shining on Östersund and it was a perfect day for trotting.

One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Greetings From Vega was looking particularly good and could easily take the lead.

The field stabalized after the bend and the speed was reduced.

Mendez Trot looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Holy Necklace couldn't come out from behind the leader, Eddie.

Standings after 1500m . Lane one Holy Necklace followed by Ice Discovery and Mendez Trot. Lane two Greetings From Vega followed by Eddie and Starshine Bouquet.

Holy Necklace sat safely in the lead when they started the homestretch.

Greetings From Vega never caught up with Holy Necklace who won. Ice Discovery came third.
