The weather had been good all week and Åby was in good shape.

One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Happy Thinking tried its best to keep the lead but finally had to give in to Stop Sign that came steaming ahead.

The leader couldn't hold the lead and Knut Olav sprinted to the front.

Étonnement Jeune sprinted past the competitors and took over the lead. Modest Diamond galoped after 1000m and lost 30 m.

Forever Yours sprinted past the competitors and took over the lead.

No-one could catch Forever Yours today who won before Happy Thinking and Stop Sign.
