One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Smiling Gold was looking particularly good and could easily take the lead.




Opposing Sun saw it's chance when the leader lost tempo and took the lead.




The leader got disturbed by something and Modest Meadow took the lead rather easily.




Modest Meadow was still in the lead after 1500m.




Modest Meadow kept the speed up and no one had a chance to take over the lead. Smiling Gold was disturbed and gallopped for 10 m.



Smiling Gold suddenly found some strength when the driver removed the earpads and sprinted to the lead.






Opposing Sun never caught up with Smiling Gold who won. Stepping Thought came third.
