The weather had been good all week and Bergsåker was in good shape.

One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Midsummer Magpie could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start.

Ako saw it's chance when the leader lost tempo and took the lead. Partout Pareil was disturbed and galoped 50 m.

Lika Fiore looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Midsummer Magpie couldn't come out from behind the leader, Ako.

Midsummer Magpie looked to be in good shape this day and took the lead after 1500m.

Midsummer Magpie kept the speed up and no one had a chance to take over the lead. Flower Meadow was disturbed and gallopped for 40 m.

Midsummer Magpie looked like a million bucks when we commenced the homestretch.

Lika Fiore made a good sprint on the homestretch and crossed the finishline before Soul.
