The sun was shining on Arvika today. A perfect day for trotting.

One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Captain Palema was looking particularly good and could easily take the lead.

This is the positions after 500m. Rindis Monster Truck, Sacre Coeur, Acclaim, Rootbeer Ross, Svante Du Suede, Ofeora, Le Beau, Captain Palema.

Rootbeer Ross took the lead after 1000m. Ofeora didn't have a good time being caught on the outside. Cajus galloped way to long and was disqualified.

Standings after 1500m . Lane one Rootbeer Ross followed by Captain Palema and Acclaim. Lane two Sigue Sigue Sputnik followed by Le Beau and Rindis Monster Truck.

Sigue Sigue Sputnik put some pressure on the leader and could take over.

driver couldn't keep Le Beau to trotting so they were disqualified. Rindis Monster Truck was disturbed and galopped for 30 m. Sigue Sigue Sputnik kept a high tempo and was first in on the homestretch.

Winner of todays race was Sigue Sigue Sputnik. Captain Palema came in second. Rootbeer Ross became third.
