One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Claudette tried its best to keep the lead but finally had to give in to Yellow Thunder that came steaming ahead. Freestyler was to tense at the start and galloped for 20 m.

This is the positions after 500m. Intergalatic, Lestrade, Empiress, Vagabond, Freestyler, Not For Granted, Criminal Moon, Claudette.

Lestrade looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Freestyler couldn't come out from behind the leader, Intergalatic. Windy Top galloped way to long and was disqualified.

Freestyler looked to be in good shape this day and took the lead after 1500m.

Freestyler kept a high tempo and was first in on the homestretch.

Freestyler didn't even look tired on the homestretch and won the race.
