One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track. Sugar Boy could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start. Unknown was to tense at the start and galloped for 20 m. Platinum Striker galloped for 60m and was disqualified. There were no mayor changes in the field at the 500m mark. Unknown started to galop after 500 m and was nearly disqualified. Stewball was in great shape so far and looked happy in the lead. Unknown was disturbed and galoped 10 m. Stewball was in great shape so far and looked happy in the lead. Platinum Striker was disturbed and galopped for 50 m. Jim Frick tried a little too much on the homestretch and Troubling Galaxy started to galopp and lost 30 m. Sugar Boy didn't even look tired on the homestretch and won the race. Results
