The sky was free of clouds and the sun was shining at Åmål this day.

One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Fackel tried its best to keep the lead but finally had to give in to Torvalla By Tramparn that came steaming ahead. Marcus Hultman wanted a little to much in the start and Las Vegas Girl galoped for 10 m. Phony Falcon suddenly started to galop. Clas Jonsson had to struggle to get Phony Falcon to tror again and succeded after 40 m.

Grazie Star saw it's chance when the leader lost tempo and took the lead. A bird flew just in front of Punching Devil who started to galop and lost 10 m.

Punching Devil sprinted past the competitors and took over the lead. Harry Hårfön galoped after 1000m and lost 30 m.

Nothing seemed to be able to stop Punching Devil today. It continued in the lead.

Punching Devil was still in the lead after 2000m. driver couldn't keep Fackel to trotting so they were disqualified. Phony Falcon was disturbed and gallopped for 30 m. Johnny The Fox galloped for 60m and was disqualified. Torvalla By Tramparn was disturbed and gallopped for 50 m.

Punching Devil sat safely in the lead when they started the homestretch.

The Butcher never caught up with Punching Devil who won. Fast Criminal came third.
