The sun was shining on Lieksa today. A perfect day for trotting. One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track. Empiress was looking particularly good and could easily take the lead. The leader couldn't hold the lead and Sleeping Madness sprinted to the front. The leader got disturbed by something and Lauvins Knockout took the lead rather easily. Lauvins Knockout was still in the lead after 1500m. Lauvins Knockout kept a high tempo and was first in on the homestretch. Jolly Nova won the race after a spectacular finish. Results
