It had been raining for several days at Åby but the sun was shining this day a the track was in good shape.

One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Izidorius Bakaou tried its best to keep the lead but finally had to give in to Cool Crown that came steaming ahead. Holding Back was to tense at the start and galloped for 20 m. driver couldn't keep Smuk Handling to trotting so they were disqualified.

This is the positions after 500m. Titan Sign, Super Svensson, Keep Coming Back, Izidorius Bakaou, Copernicus, Big Momentum, Dancing Starlight, Cool Crown.

The leader got disturbed by something and Keep Coming Back took the lead rather easily. Titan Sign was disturbed and galoped 10 m.

Izidorius Bakaou accelerated after 1500m and took the lead.

Izidorius Bakaou kept a high tempo and was first in on the homestretch.
