The sky was free of clouds and the sun was shining at Lappeenranta this day.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Ghostly Sunray tried its best to keep the lead but finally had to give in to Alice In Italy that came steaming ahead.




Grasping Thought quickly put pressure on the leader and could take the lead after 500m.




Girlfriend sprinted past it's competitors after a 1000m and took the lead.



Alice In Italy sprinted past it's competitors after a 1000m and took the lead.

Girlfriend galopped for 10 m on the homestretch.




Grasping Thought sprinted away from the rest of the field and won quite easy.
