One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Think Big could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start.

Cours Du Dollar quickly put pressure on the leader and could take the lead after 500m. A bird flew just in front of Unknown who started to galop and lost 50 m. Unknown started to galop after 500 m and was nearly disqualified. A bird flew just in front of Beautiful Wind who started to galop and lost 10 m.

The leader got disturbed by something and Hard To See took the lead rather easily. Unknown galloped for 60m and was disqualified. Cours Du Dollar was disturbed and galoped 10 m.

Hard To See was still in the lead after 1500m.

The Fiftythird State took the lead.

With only a little left of the race Increased Value galoped for 30 m. Hard To See suddenly found some strength when the driver removed the earpads and sprinted to the lead.

The Fiftythird State sprinted over the finishline before Think Big and Hard To See.
