One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Speed For Gold took the lead after a very quick start.

Speed For Gold was looking sharp this day and continued in the lead. Polished Devil was disturbed and galoped 40 m. Fanny Palema started to galop after 500 m and was nearly disqualified.

No one seem keen on putting pressure on the leader so he could keep his own tempo. Fanny Palema suddenly made a bad step, started to galop and lost 10 m.

Monsieur Du Dijon saw a chanche when the tempo dropped and could easilytake the lead.

Monsieur Du Dijon was still in the lead after 2000m.

Fanny Palema was disturbed and galopped for 40 m. Speed For Gold was first on the homestretch followed by Monsieur Du Dijon and Modest Thought.

No-one could catch Speed For Gold today who won before Modest Thought and Monsieur Du Dijon.
