One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Prince Star tried its best to keep the lead but finally had to give in to Milestone that came steaming ahead.

Holy Cookie saw it's chance when the leader lost tempo and took the lead. Holy Cookie started to galop after 500 m and was nearly disqualified.

Holy Cookie was in great shape so far and looked happy in the lead. Silver Dollar galoped after 1000m and lost 50 m.

Standings after 1500m . Lane one Holy Cookie followed by Born Free and Steel Sound. Lane two Prince Star followed by Milestone and Quick Architecture.

Born Free speeded up in the last bend and was first on the homestretch.

Prince Star sprinted away from the rest of the field and won quite easy.
