It had been raining for several days at Kausala but the sun was shining this day a the track was in good shape.

One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Rosso Star took the lead after a very quick start. driver couldn't keep Heavenly Girl to trotting so they were disqualified.

Jumping Missile saw it's chance when the leader lost tempo and took the lead.

Steel Body sprinted past it's competitors after a 1000m and took the lead.

Standings after 1500m . Lane one Steel Body followed by Portable Angel and Cauberg. Lane two Rosso Star followed by Engel Larockma and Jumping Missile. Trojan Horse Incarnated galloped for 50 m.

Steel Body looked like a million bucks when we commenced the homestretch.

Engel Larockma made a good sprint on the homestretch and crossed the finishline before Rosso Star.
