One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Glowing Pony was looking particularly good and could easily take the lead. When the startcar left the field Prime Pins started to galop and lost 20 m.

Rodin quickly put pressure on the leader and could take the lead after 500m. A bird flew just in front of Enormous Pride who started to galop and lost 30 m.

I Have Power sprinted past the competitors and took over the lead.

Standings after 1500m . Lane one I Have Power followed by Prime Pins and Rodin. Lane two Glowing Pony followed by Brighton Pier Cockney and Front Man.

I Have Power were still in the lead when they started the sprint for the finish-line.

The spectators cheered much on the homestretch and probably caused Glowing Pony galop. Glowing Pony lost 50 m. Lars D Carlson tried a little too much on the homestretch and Self Contained started to galopp and lost 40 m. driver couldn't keep Rodin to trotting so they were disqualified.

Final standings. 1 Prime Pins, 2 I Have Power, 3 Brighton Pier Cockney.
