One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Many drivers had set there mind on a front position this day. Fastest of them all were Sweet Mum. Strong Bullet ended up behind the leader. Lone Crusher got caught on the outside and were forced to take place as first in lane two.

This is the positions after 500m. Curly Cassandra, Strong Bullet, Sweet Mum, Comfortable Puma, Mindbender, Lone Crusher, Turning Bouquet, Charlotte Palema.

Curly Cassandra clinged on to the lead after a 1000m.

Standings after 1500m . Lane one Curly Cassandra followed by Lone Crusher and Mindbender. Lane two Sweet Mum followed by Strong Bullet and Comfortable Puma.

Curly Cassandra kept a high tempo and was first in on the homestretch.

Lone Crusher galopped for 30 m on the homestretch.

Sweet Mum won. Curly Cassandra came in second. Strong Bullet caught third place.
