The weather had been good all week and Åby was in good shape.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Killalot Red Planet could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start.




This is the positions after 500m. Loving Thinker, Cube Is Nowhere, Påarps Alfred, Breakdancin' Buddha, Topgear, Helpful Frenzy, Killalot Red Planet, Growing Bullet. Nova Warrior galloped way to long and was disqualified.




Påarps Alfred sprinted past it's competitors after a 1000m and took the lead.




Nothing seemed to be able to stop Påarps Alfred today. It continued in the lead.



Helpful Frenzy suddenly found some strength when the driver removed the earpads and sprinted to the lead.

Olle Goop tried a little too much on the homestretch and Helpful Frenzy started to galopp and lost 40 m.




Cube Is Nowhere won. Topgear came in second. Killalot Red Planet caught third place.
