One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Brave Starshine could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start. Total Dynamite was to tense at the start and galloped for 50 m.

This is the positions after 500m. Autodidacte, Total Dynamite, Gentleman Behemoth, Jailhouse Rock, Brave Starshine, , , . Brave Starshine galloped for 60m and was disqualified.

Total Dynamite sprinted past the competitors and took over the lead.

Total Dynamite was still in the lead after 1500m.

Gentleman Behemoth took the lead.

Total Dynamite speeded up in the last bend and was first on the homestretch.

Gentleman Behemoth won. Autodidacte came in second. Total Dynamite caught third place.
