The weather had been good all week and Åby was in good shape.

One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Take Me To The Sky was looking particularly good and could easily take the lead. Jörgen Wickman wanted a little to much in the start and Jolly Tropic galoped for 50 m.

The leader couldn't hold the lead and Modest Darkness sprinted to the front.

Elegance Lirica sprinted past the competitors and took over the lead.

Standings after 1500m . Lane one Elegance Lirica followed by Holy Fall and Modest Darkness. Lane two Take Me To The Sky followed by Red Jacket and Insecticide. Entertain Me galloped for 10 m.

With only a little left of the race Modest Darkness galoped for 10 m. With only a little left of the race Entertain Me galoped for 30 m. Take Me To The Sky litterally flew through the last bend and was first on the homestretch.

No-one could catch Take Me To The Sky today who won before Elegance Lirica and Holy Fall.
