The sun was shining on Åmål and it was a perfect day for trotting.
One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.
Craftsman found a gap and took the lead. Mr Moment followed before The Real Deal. Åke Svanstedt wanted a little to much in the start and Mr Moment galoped for 20 m.

Steel, Duc D'aquitaine, Day Dream, Veni Vidi Vici, The Real Deal, Mr Moment, In The Sky.
Duc D'aquitaine took the lead after 1000m. The Real Deal didn't have a good time being caught on the outside.
Duc D'aquitaine was still in the lead after 1500m.
With only a little left of the race The Real Deal galoped for 50 m. Duc D'aquitaine sat safely in the lead when they started the homestretch.
Leonardo was disturbed and galopped for 50 m.
Duc D'aquitaine didn't even look tired on the homestretch and won the race.
