Only a humble breeze blew over Harstad this day. The track where in perfect shape.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Moving Thrasher could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start.




This is the positions after 500m. Le Plus Vite, Mythical Dancer, Honourable Stereo, Walking Knight, Lone Crusher, Khashoggi´s Ship, Joking Sphinx, Moonbeam Red Planet. A bird flew just in front of Moving Thrasher who started to galop and lost 40 m.




Walking Knight sprinted past it's competitors after a 1000m and took the lead. Moonbeam Red Planet suddenly made a bad step, started to galop and lost 30 m. Honourable Stereo suddenly made a bad step, started to galop and lost 20 m.




Moving Thrasher accelerated after 1500m and took the lead.




Moving Thrasher kept the speed up and no one had a chance to take over the lead.



Lone Crusher was disturbed and galopped for 50 m. Moving Thrasher sat safely in the lead when they started the homestretch.






Le Plus Vite won the race after a spectacular finish.
