The sun was shining on Suonenjoki and it was a perfect day for trotting.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Amazing Starlight could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start.




Ögans Grey Bitch quickly put pressure on the leader and could take the lead after 500m. Jane Heart started to galop after 500 m and was nearly disqualified.




Amazing Starlight looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Whirling Wicked Victoria couldn't come out from behind the leader, Ögans Grey Bitch. Cedrus galoped after 1000m and lost 50 m.




Nothing seemed to be able to stop Ögans Grey Bitch today. It continued in the lead.



Ögans Grey Bitch sat safely in the lead when they started the homestretch.






Whirling Wicked Victoria won. Ögans Grey Bitch came in second. Amazing Starlight caught third place.
