One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Sad Pearl took the lead after a very quick start. Big General was to tense at the start and galloped for 40 m.




This is the positions after 500m. Basket Case, Mustang Beach, Northern Raider, Montana, Sad Pearl, Big General, System Performance, .




Basket Case clinged on to the lead after a 1000m. Montana galoped after 1000m and lost 30 m.




Basket Case was still in the lead after 1500m.




Basket Case sat safely in the lead after 2000m.



With only a little left of the race Big General galoped for 50 m. Basket Case were still in the lead when they started the sprint for the finish-line.

Mustang Beach showed unexperience when he was disqualified for galoping.
