One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track. Great Barrier Magician tried its best to keep the lead but finally had to give in to Power Behemoth that came steaming ahead. This is the positions after 500m. Great Barrier Magician, Power Behemoth, Svart Skrymer, Salvatore Amo, Famous Flower, , , . Famous Flower was disturbed and galoped 50 m. Power Behemoth looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Svart Skrymer couldn't come out from behind the leader, Great Barrier Magician. Salvatore Amo galoped after 1000m and lost 30 m. Standings after 1500m . Lane one Great Barrier Magician followed by Famous Flower and Salvatore Amo. Lane two Power Behemoth followed by Svart Skrymer and . Great Barrier Magician was still in the lead after 2000m. Great Barrier Magician kept a high tempo and was first in on the homestretch. Power Behemoth sprinted away from the rest of the field and won quite easy. Results
