The weather had been good all week and Åby was in good shape.

One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Bigger And Stronger could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start. When the startcar left the field Urtado started to galop and lost 50 m.

Avulla Halu saw it's chance when the leader lost tempo and took the lead.

The leader got disturbed by something and Sambal Story took the lead rather easily. Waste Of Time was disturbed and galoped 40 m.

Standings after 1500m . Lane one Sambal Story followed by Bigger And Stronger and La Comtesse D'aucy. Lane two Objection Overruled followed by Waste Of Time and Ace Taboca.

Objection Overruled suddenly found some strength when the driver removed the earpads and sprinted to the lead.

The spectators cheered much on the homestretch and probably caused Ace Taboca galop. Ace Taboca lost 30 m. Toulouse Guard showed unexperience when he was disqualified for galoping. Jörgen Wickman tried a little too much on the homestretch and Sweet Thunder started to galopp and lost 40 m.

No-one could catch Objection Overruled today who won before Bigger And Stronger and Sambal Story.
