It had been raining for several days at Åby but the sun was shining this day a the track was in good shape.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Break Your Heart was looking particularly good and could easily take the lead.




The leader couldn't hold the lead and Solid Factory sprinted to the front. Viking Of Sweden was disturbed and galoped 40 m.




Stepping Thought sprinted past the competitors and took over the lead. First Shift galoped after 1000m and lost 30 m. Solid Factory galoped after 1000m and lost 50 m.




Stepping Thought was still in the lead after 1500m.



Stepping Thought kept a high tempo and was first in on the homestretch.






Stepping Thought didn't even look tired on the homestretch and won the race.
