One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Criminal Slayer sprinted away from the competitors and took the lead. Stein Egil Nervik wanted a little to much in the start and Waldner galoped for 20 m.

Falling Rocket was in fine shape and held the lead.

No one seem keen on putting pressure on the leader so he could keep his own tempo.

Nothing seemed to be able to stop Going Forward today. It continued in the lead.

Going Forward looked like a million bucks when we commenced the homestretch.

Going Forward didn't even look tired on the homestretch and won the race.
