Honourable Action found a gap and took the lead. Claudette followed before Screaming Bullet. Turning Winter was to tense at the start and galloped for 40 m.

Turning Winter saw it's chance when the leader lost tempo and took the lead. Screaming Bullet showed unexperience when he was disqualified for galoping.

Turning Winter clinged on to the lead after a 1000m.

Standings after 1500m . Lane one Turning Winter followed by Good Looking Satellite and Claudette. Lane two Old Kent followed by Honourable Action and Play Ball Cherry. Climbing Paradigm galloped way to long and was disqualified.

Old Kent speeded up in the last bend and was first on the homestretch.

Claudette won. Honourable Action came in second. Play Ball Cherry caught third place.
