The sun was shining on Åby and it was a perfect day for trotting.

One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Many drivers had set there mind on a front position this day. Fastest of them all were Immortelles. Screaming Rocket ended up behind the leader. Shining Sunray got caught on the outside and were forced to take place as first in lane two. Vaporizer galloped for 60m and was disqualified.

This is the positions after 500m. Delightful Joy, Secret Love, Speedy King, Shining Sunray, Flickering Closet, Immortelles, Limelight, Piper.

Speedy King sprinted past the competitors and took over the lead. driver couldn't keep Four Finger Fatal to trotting so they were disqualified.

Limelight saw a chanche when the tempo dropped and could easilytake the lead. Something caused a disturbance in the field and Piper gallopped for 50 m.

Limelight sat safely in the lead when they started the homestretch.

Bo Falsig tried a little too much on the homestretch and Amazing Grove started to galopp and lost 40 m. Four Finger Fatal galoped way to long and was disqualified.

Limelight didn't even look tired on the homestretch and won the race.
