One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Guard Of Ottawa tried its best to keep the lead but finally had to give in to Castor that came steaming ahead.




Castor was in fine shape and held the lead.




Castor was in great shape so far and looked happy in the lead.




Guard Of Ottawa looked to be in good shape this day and took the lead after 1500m. Castor galloped for 50 m.



Guard Of Ottawa kept a high tempo and was first in on the homestretch.






Castor never caught up with Guard Of Ottawa who won. Sans Benefice came third.
