One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Smiling Winter found a gap and took the lead. Space Hero followed before Toucher De Éclat. Stopping Nova was to tense at the start and galloped for 40 m.

Smiling Winter was in fine shape and held the lead.

Space Hero looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Toucher De Éclat couldn't come out from behind the leader, Smiling Winter. Unknown suddenly made a bad step, started to galop and lost 50 m.

Standings after 1500m . Lane one Smiling Winter followed by Toucher De Éclat and Stopping Nova. Lane two Space Hero followed by Let's Pretend and .

Stopping Nova galloped for 60m and was disqualified. Smiling Winter sat safely in the lead when they started the homestretch.

Stopping Nova was disturbed and galopped for 10 m. Toucher De Éclat was disturbed and galopped for 10 m.

Let's Pretend sprinted away from the rest of the field and won quite easy.
