One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Holy Maid could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start. Carl-Erik Lindblom wanted a little to much in the start and Right On galoped for 10 m.

This is the positions after 500m. Famous Whirlwind, Great Barrier Magician, Holy Maid, Shining Wish, Brave Stardust, Spaghetti Cavallo, Anaphora, Admiral Puma. driver couldn't keep Right On to trotting so they were disqualified.

Great Barrier Magician sprinted past the competitors and took over the lead.

Great Barrier Magician was still in the lead after 1500m.

Great Barrier Magician kept a high tempo and was first in on the homestretch.

Holy Maid sprinted away from the rest of the field and won quite easy.
