It had been raining for several days at Åby but the sun was shining this day a the track was in good shape.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Front Tank was looking particularly good and could easily take the lead.




The field stabalized after the bend and the speed was reduced.




No Winner looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Viva La France couldn't come out from behind the leader, Fantastic Fred.




Standings after 1500m . Lane one No Winner followed by Rainbow and Dronning I Alt. Lane two Front Tank followed by Moonlight Moment and Fantastic Fred. Viva La France galloped way to long and was disqualified.



No Winner looked like a million bucks when we commenced the homestretch.






No Winner kept the speed the whole finish and won before Front Tank and Rainbow.
