One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Vicino tried its best to keep the lead but finally had to give in to Wiking Larockma that came steaming ahead. When the startcar left the field Punching Strategy started to galop and lost 10 m.

The leader couldn't hold the lead and Connemara sprinted to the front. Punching Strategy started to galop after 500 m and was nearly disqualified.

No one seem keen on putting pressure on the leader so he could keep his own tempo. Vicino suddenly made a bad step, started to galop and lost 50 m.

Close Sound looked to be in good shape this day and took the lead after 1500m.

Close Sound sat safely in the lead when they started the homestretch.

Master of Art made a good sprint on the homestretch and crossed the finishline before Wiking Larockma.
