The sun was shining on Färjestad and it was a perfect day for trotting.

One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Many drivers had set there mind on a front position this day. Fastest of them all were Silverplate. Criminal Giresse ended up behind the leader. Diamond Heat got caught on the outside and were forced to take place as first in lane two. Jean Pierre was to eager when the car accellerated, galopped and was disqualified. Peter Cederin wanted a little to much in the start and Quattro Boy Toy galoped for 50 m.

The leader couldn't hold the lead and Top Of Love sprinted to the front.

Avulla Halu took the lead after 1000m. Diamond Heat didn't have a good time being caught on the outside.

Criminal Giresse took the lead after 1000m. Avulla Halu didn't have a good time being caught on the outside.

Criminal Giresse didn't even look tired on the homestretch and won the race.
