The sun was shining on Åmål and it was a perfect day for trotting.

One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Clear Coast Cherry could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start. Åke Svanstedt wanted a little to much in the start and Hard Blast galoped for 30 m. When the startcar left the field Going For Gold started to galop and lost 10 m.

This is the positions after 500m. Hard Blast, Ghostly Rocket, Clear Coast Cherry, Serial Winner, Miz Moonfire, Going For Gold, No Limits, Fast Crusher. Utter Nutter was disturbed and galoped 50 m. Hard Blast started to galop after 500 m and was nearly disqualified.

No one seem keen on putting pressure on the leader so he could keep his own tempo. Miz Moonfire galloped way to long and was disqualified.

No Limits accelerated after 1500m and took the lead. Clear Coast Cherry galloped way to long and was disqualified. Going For Gold galloped for 10 m.

Focused Piece suddenly took over the lead. Miz Moonfire galloped way to long and was disqualified.

Focused Piece kept a high tempo and was first in on the homestretch.

No Limits made a good sprint on the homestretch and crossed the finishline before Fast Crusher.
